Thanks for this great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYay. I love your drawstring bag pattern!
ReplyDeleteThis pattern has provided me with so much entertainment! I have made more than 70 bags and just keep going. They are my favorite way to use up fat quarters that I have bought "just because". Mostly I make the Everything Bag but I also make the Snack Bag and the Project Bag regularly. Best and most used pattern I have bought! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for such great inspiration. I've also enjoyed making making these bags. I'm not an experienced sewer and would like to know how to add pockets to the interior of the bag. Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteAdding a simple slip pocket to the inside wouldn't be too hard! Here are some general instructions for making a slip pocket: http://so-sew-easy.com/sew-the-perfect-slip-pocket/
DeleteI wouldn't make it too big, since it's not a huge bag. I'd take a bag you've already made and turn it inside out to decide how big and where exactly you'd want to place it!
Thanks so much Jeni for the link. Will have to give it a try.
DeleteThanks so much, Jeni. Love all your bags, and quilts, and pillows, and. . .!
ReplyDeleteLove, thanks for putting everything in one place!
ReplyDeleteMahalo nui loa for the tutorial, and some extra aloha for additional tutorial on how to sew a slip pocket.
ReplyDeleteI've made 3. One granddaughter (10 yrs old) takes hers everywhere. She puts her arms through the drawstrings and wears it like a small backpack. Another granddaughter stores her My Little Ponies in it.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love these bags. Got the pattern years ago and use them for hamper bags for Christmas. I have just started seeing to sell at a small craft market, are you happy if I sell a few? X
ReplyDeleteFeel free! :)
DeleteJust popping in to thank you for this tutorial, Jeni! I've probably made close to 100 of these bags and it's been money well spent. I use them for Christmas all the time and recently made 17 all occasion ones. I love using them when I mail packages too. I just posted the latest ones I made here: https://dirtroadscrapper.blogspot.com/2020/04/under-needle-april.html
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm glad! :):)
