Curiosities Webbed Quilt
Happy Tuesday! Today I have a finished quilt to share! This is the first version of my Webbed Quilt Pattern that I made around this time last year. It's been patiently waiting all this time to make it onto the blog.
I cut this quilt out pretty quick after my last fabric collection, Curiosities, was released in June 2015. I paired the prints from this collection with a variety of low-volume prints for the background, instead of using a single background fabric.
My only photo of the blocks in progress, I need to take more photos along the way!
This is my only quilt using this collection, I gave away the only other one I made. I photographed this quilt while I was home in Ohio over the holidays last year.
Up close, you can see the different background fabrics a little better. Using multiple background fabrics makes this quilt a bit more of a stash buster for me. I don't usually stash large cuts of solid or "background" type fabrics, so it's nice to be able to use smaller cuts instead!
This quilt was quilted by Melissa Kelley of Sew Shabby Quilting. I chose the Nifty Feather design for this quilt!
This is the Throw size from my Webbed Quilt Pattern. You can see the Square Throw Halloween version that I made here. The PDF and Paper versions of this pattern are available in my online shop.
Happy Quilting!
It's really beautiful...well done! I love how you used the different prints for your background. I don't think of doing that...I just always go for the white (and the shade I need). I love this!
