Weekly Snapshot
Monday, October 6, 2014
Happy Monday! I meant to get this post up on Thursday, but it just didn't happen. Things got away from me! I haven't been taking as many photos lately, so I don't have as much everyday life stuff to share, but we will make do!
I had a great time sewing up this cute little mini foldover pouch and needle book using Aneela's new pattern! I have a foldover sewing pouch cut out too, I am looking forward to stitching that up soon!
Geometric Bliss has been trickling into stores over the last week! I have been updating the list of shops (online & brick and mortar), that I know are carrying it on the Fabric page. If you're a shop carrying it and you're not listed, shoot me an email! I happened to be at The Sewcial Lounge when it arrived on Thursday, which is always fun. Managed to snap a few photos before we speed cut fat quarter and half yard bundles!
I cut out a new quilt! I have been thinking about making a new Triangularity quilt for a while, and Geometric Bliss seemed like the perfect fit! Now to starting piecing it!
I can't go too long without making a drawstring bag, or the world would implode! I made this one for a swap with the lovely Jesabelle of OtterburnPQ on Etsy! She makes these awesome knitting project bags that allow you to knit standing up. I can't wait to put mine to use, will get Michael to snap a photo of me using it soon!
The lovely folks over at Soak have been running a daily photo challenge on Instagram for the month of October. I've been playing along and it's been lots of fun! I was kind of falling into a lull of not posting much, so this challenge has been the perfect thing to keep me motivated!
I baked Bretzel for the first time in forever last night. I don't think I had made any since last winter. It tasted so good! I use this recipe.
George bun!
Have a great week!

omygoodness! I just love Geometric Bliss....Triangularity will look so great with it!
ReplyDeleteI have a triangle quilt on my to-do list. Can't wait to see yours come together. Loving the George photos! :)
ReplyDeleteJeni, I so love your drawstring bags, I have the pattern and have made three but that's not enough. Everyone loves them as a gift. My question is: what are the drawstrings made out of in your latest bag? Is it twill tape and where would I find it to purchase? Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, it is twill tape! I buy most of mine at my local shop here in Madison, but have purchased loads over the years from the Little Red Cottage on Etsy. She has a great selection! - https://www.etsy.com/shop/LittleRedCottage
DeleteI just love Geometric Bliss also. Can't wait to see everything that gets made out of it.
