Weekly Snapshot

Happy Wednesday! I'm going to attempt to bring back weekly snapshot, again! This time though, I know weekly is a bit unrealistic, so I'm trying for every other week. We'll see how it goes!
I took some time to make some quilt backs yesterday. I've let the quilt tops pile up again, so it's time to get that pile down again!
Played with this pretty palette of solids last week! All Pure Elements by Art Gallery Fabrics.
I did manage to get new (and old) artwork framed, but unfortunately it's still not hung up. That's this weekend's goal! I swear!
I found this tin over the summer, but it's too good not to share. It's tiny and I love it. It matches this one I found a few years ago. It's still one of my favorites.
I finally, after years and years of wanting one, bought a label maker! WOO! Seriously, I was very excited. I went with this one and already bought a double pack of extra tape. Now I can label all the things.
George bunny! I was trying to get him to pose next to this absolutely giant skein of yarn (it's literally called Yowza Whatta Skein by Miss Babs), but then he jumped right on top of it. Silly rabbit. Made for a better photo anyways!
Have a great week!

How big is that skein.... Just trying to get a feel for how big George is....
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty big! Here is George next to a Diet Coke can for scale! - https://www.flickr.com/photos/jenib/6264179315/in/set-72157621876825739
DeleteI use a big graphing calculator for my quilt math too!
ReplyDeleteI want a label maker too. Such a silly thing. Why don't I just go out and buy one? I share your excitement!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific picture of George. Congrats on the label maker. Fun new toy.
ReplyDeleteCan I request a photo of bunny with each bi-weekly post? Cause the only thing better than sewing photos is sewing photos with fur babies. =D
ReplyDeleteI am more than happy to oblige! :)
DeleteLove all of these pics, very inspiring! And George is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics! I've used that labelmaker=swoon.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics!! Especially I really love the photo of your work corner :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice time
Jolana
I love that you use a graphing calculator for quilt math.
ReplyDeleteI love labellers! They make everything look neat. Handwritten labels make everything look sloppy. The tape is expensive. I prefer black on white, 12mm.
ReplyDeleteBuy lots of tape--it's a bummer when you run out. Great for files, jars, containers, ...
I love George. What's the story on him? I have a George pillow.
It may be nerdy to be excited over a label maker, but count me in! I have that very same label maker and I use it so often. I tend to go in spurts--all of a sudden I look around and realize I have a new batch of stuff that needs labeling. I waited for a long time before I bought one and I don't know why; labels made with it make things look very spiffy.
ReplyDeleteLove reading your blog...and George, he warms my heart and I think my kitty would love to have a George to play and snuggle with!
ReplyDeleteI was feeling sorry for George, perched up there like an elephant on a stool, until I read that he did it to himself.
