Pogona Shawl
Tuesday, September 9, 2014
Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing my latest finished knit, my very first full-size shawl!
As I mentioned last week, I knit Pogona by Stephen West for the Eat Sleep Knit third quarter Yarnathon challenge! We were challenged to knit something that we queued or added to our favorites on Ravelry during our first active year. Pogona was one of the first projects I queued!
I chose to use sport weight yarn for mine (the pattern calls for fingering). I went with Tosh Sport by Madelinetosh in Graphite. I love this color, it's such a pretty dark gray and in certain light almost has a green look to it.
It was so cool watching this shawl slowly grow over the past two months. I still can't believe I made it! Before I started it looked like it was so complicated, but it wasn't at all! The knitting was really straightforward and very easy to memorize. I really enjoyed making this!
For more information on my shawl see my Ravelry page here.
Now to decide what to knit next! Just like sewing there are always a million things on the list! :)
