Geometric Bliss Garments & Accessories

Happy Tuesday! Today I want to share the rest of the Geometric Bliss projects that I made for Spring Quilt Market! We've got accessories and garments left!

I know I've talked about the sign I made in a previous post, but wanted to mention it again. I used Spoonflower to have it printed, just on regular cotton. Quilted it with straight lines and then bound it with a small piece of each print in the collection. It worked out great!


First up, I tried my hand at the Datura Blouse by Deer and Doe. This was the first time I've used a Deer and Doe pattern, and it was great. Beautiful details, easy to follow instructions, and fits great! I choose the peter pan collar option for this one. I paired the Parallel Segments print with Verve Violet Pure Element solid.



The details are what really makes this top special. I choose to color block the top, using the print on the top half and the solid for the bottom and collar. I will admit, I faked the button closure on the back! Instead of making buttonholes with working buttons, I sewed the buttons through both layers. Same look, just not functional. They don't need to be unbuttoned to get the top on, so this was the easier option for me!



I made a second Datura blouse, this time with the other colorway for Parallel Segments. I paired this print with Apricot Crepe Pure Element solid. For this version I left off the collar, and drafted a new back without any closure to make it a solid piece. I didn't have enough of the print to do the split back with button closure, plus it simplified things a bit!
 

I wanted to really show off the versatility of the Mobius Stripe prints with these next two projects. I used one print to make this simple fat quarter apron! Nothing fancy, just a small pleat in the front and a solid waistband!


With the other colorway I made an infinity scarf! These are always fun to make. I paired it with Coral Reef Pure Element solid.


Finally, the very last project I made was a badge holder to use at Quilt Market! I used Monica Solorio-Snow's ID/Badge Holder Pattern. This comes together so fast and it turned out so cute! It has a pocket on the back, an inside pocket and the front clear pocket. I slipped my ID in the front and carried business cards and some money in the inside pocket, perfect! Can't wait to make another one of these for next spring Market!

I used 50wt Aurifil threads from my thread collection for all of these projects!
