Dreamin' Vintage Poolside Tote
Tuesday, August 5, 2014
Happy Tuesday! This past week/weekend my family was in town visiting from Ohio. They rented a cabin in Mt. Horeb and we went out and stayed with them for a couple nights. This was the perfect opportunity to use my newly finished bag! This is the Poolside Tote Pattern by Anna Graham!
I'm happy to report that this was a great travel bag! I easily fit two nights and three days worth of clothes and toiletries in here with room to spare (for stuffed animals, not going to lie, haha). It wears so comfortably over the shoulder, I'll definitely travel with it again!
I decided to use a mix of prints from the warm Tickled Pink colorway of Dreamin' Vintage. I think it makes the bag feel super summery! I went with the slip pocket on the front, but there is a zippered option too. I might try that on the next one!
This bag has so many fun details, it's a really cool sew!
I had a great time sewing this bag, and it really comes together pretty quickly! I think the cutting/interfacing takes longer than the sewing. Totally worth it though! I can't wait to make another!

Such a cute tote!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! What interfacing did you use? I'm worried that Shape-Flex won't be sturdy enough with quilting cotton.
ReplyDeleteI used Shape-Flex and Fusible Fleece!
