Happy Wednesday! It's embarrassing how long it's taken me to share today's tidbit! I'm going to blame it on holiday prep, traveling for two weeks and January deadlines. Sound fair? Thankfully, this issue is hitting stores NOW in the US, so it's really more like perfect timing ;)
I'm so, so happy to share that my quilt is on the cover of Issue 3 of Love, Patchwork & Quilting!! It's such an honor, and I have really loved working with this magazine over the last 6 months! I never would have thought something like this was possible for me a year or so ago! I'm so excited!
Knowing that this would be for a Winter issue, I was immediately drawn to the cool and frosty Urban Mod collection by the Art Gallery In-House Studio! This is a very straightforward quilt and a great way to get comfortable making flying geese units! I show you two different ways to make them, one of which has no waste.
Love, Patchwork & Quilting was kind enough to send over their photos of the quilt, so I am going to share those, because they are awesome!
Say Hi to Jenny, the editor!
I used a single line of fabric for my quilt, but I think this quilt would look awesome super-scrappy too!
I wasn't going to leave you without my typical brick wall shot! I took my photos right before this quilt was sent away to the UK, so I was in a bit of a rush. Perhaps I'll get some nice photos in the snow in the next few months!
You'll also find a cute mug rug to match the quilt if you're looking for a smaller project!
This month's column is all about pressing seams!
You can find Love, Patchwork & Quilting at Barnes & Noble and JoAnn's here in the US. Fat Quarter Shop is also carrying it if you'd rather order it online, find it here. Finally, if you'd like to subscribe to Love, Patchwork & Quilting, you can do so here. They've also just launched their blog, so make sure to go give them some love!
Happy Sewing!
