ReplyDeleteMy mom makes what she called "Christmas cookies" even though they're not particulary holiday inspired, just the cookies that only come around this time of the year. One of them that is my favorite is her orange drop cookies, that have real orange juice in them and the icing on them isn't too sweet so it doesn't overpower the orange flavor. They're definitely one of my favorite things about this time of the year, I always look forward to them.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday treat is a cookie that is super simple to make. A Ritz cracker spread with peanut butter, topped with another Ritz cracker. Then you melt some Chocolate almond bark or other chocolate and dip the cracker in the chocolate. Set it on wax paper to cool and you are done!! It is super yummy. Sometimes I sprinkle it with christmas decorations, but they don't last very long in my house.. my favorite!!

Favorite holiday treat- how do I pick just one? I love Tim Tam cookies, which come to stores around the holidays. I love Burnt Sugar Almonds, though it takes a lot of arm strength to stir them and they disappear too quickly, and just last year I made homemade Butterbeer- whipped cream on top of soda?!? Yum!
