I don't even know what to say. Thank you so much for your kind words of support and encouragement on my last post. I really appreciate all your comments and emails, thank you for each and every one. I originally had grand visions of responding to everyone, but my goodness, then it exploded! It's comforting to know so many of us share these same experiences. We are not alone! :)
PS - I grew those Cosmos in my garden!
This week is going to be a bit quiet around here! All three of these quilts need to be quilted (one is half quilted already, yay!), bound, washed and photographed by Friday! We are leaving for a week away on Saturday, yippee!
Didn't get around to a ton of sewing this week, but I did make some more wide mouth zipper pouches using Anna's fab tutorial! I made a small and a medium this time. Both pouches are made with fabrics by Katherine Codega! I think the big pouch is going to make the perfect makeup bag!
In addition to the fat quarter I used above, I worked with this charm pack from Katherine Codega too! Look at those bunnies!! I knew I had to feature them together in a mini quilt! I simply sashed them in a solid, and then used the rest of the squares for a really scrappy binding! I love how it turned out. It's made itself at home on my wall of bunny stuff!
I had so much fun working with Katherine's designs, they're edgy and cool with a bit of whimsy, just my style! You can find all of these fabrics and many more in her shop here.
George even liked the mini quilt!
After getting my first taste of LillyBelle in my blogger's choice bundle, I had to have some more! You can find LillyBelle by Bari J at The Intrepid Thread, Fat Quarter Shop, and Sew Fresh Fabrics.
George :)
I am happy to welcome a new sponsor this week, I Don't Do Dishes! She's a new shop, but she's already got a great variety! A few other notes: Emmaline Bags is making a big move from Australia to Canada! She's having a moving sale through August 15th, make sure to check it out! Bloomerie Fabrics just got a beautiful, fresh makeover, their new site looks great!

ReplyDeleteI love cosmos but have never been able to grow them in my yard. I think it has something to do with the soil.

Hi, Jeni. Your bunny wallhanging is absolutely adorable. Very cheerful. I would also like to commend you on your post about health problems (arthritis, in your case) and how to work safely. You were informative and handled the subject with objectivity. I noticed you had a huge response to it, and rightly so. Bravo!

Sorry, did not read carefully. Looking up horse fabric creator now!
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny mini and, of course, the bunny model George.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the mention. I love all of your photos... they are really making me want to sew something!! thx Janelle @ Emmaline.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely! I love the new pouches and mini, too!
ReplyDeleteI have zipper pouch envy! Yours look very professional. I have been looking at this tutorial, and want to make a couple of them to use as project bags when I knit socks. Have you seen the PUL fabric that they sell to make covers for cloth diapers? It is supposed to be washable and waterproof. I picked up 1/4 yard of it a Hobby Lobby over the weekend to use as lining in my makeup bag. (I got the idea from Sewing4Home.Com.)
