Hi Everybody! We are now safely back in Wisconsin but oh-so-tired! It was a long day of driving, so I'm going to make this quick! I couldn't wait any longer to share these garments with you!
I've already made a lot of Tova tunics and Tanks using the Wiksten patterns, but these two were special. Both used extra special fabrics and feel so luxurious! The first is a Tova tunic made using Liberty Tana Lawn. It feels like butter!
The second is a shirt (using the Wiksten Tank pattern with sleeves from the Scout Tee by Grainline), made from Nani Iro double gauze! I love how this fabric feels, and the colors are so me! I got mine from Form and Fabric!
These are already getting a lot of wear, and I just finished them last week and the week before! They fit right in my wardrobe :)
I am teaching classes for both of these patterns at The Sewcial Lounge here in Madison next month! The Tova class is Saturday, September 8th at 9am, and the Tank class is Wednesday, September 12th at 5:30pm. Go here to sign up!

ReplyDeleteYUM. I'm swooning over the liberty; both of these look fantastic! I recently bought some Nani Iro double gauze for a wiksten tank (or maybe a washi tunic?) so we'll see when I actually work up the nerve to sew with it. :)

ReplyDeleteCool! When you have a garment class, do you have to teach alterations too? Or do you just teach the straight sewing of the garment by the pattern?

ReplyDeleteboth shirts are so lovely. i bought the tova pattern and the scout tee pattern. but i haven't figured out which fabric to try with them. i love the inspiration you put out there :)
