Last week was a bit off, but I still managed to get a few things done. We had a heat warning, long days of 105, and Michael's parents were here for the weekend. Funny how little changes to your routine can throw you off! We had a great visit, but as a creature of habit, I'm ready for a new week, that's hopefully less hot! ;)
I finally got around to trying out Anna's new bag tutorial for the wide-mouth zippered pouch! I made two medium size pouches and they were a lot of fun! I used up some fabrics that had been in my stash for a while, which is always nice, Farmdale and Katie Jump Rope! As always, Anna's tutorials are fantastic! Make sure to check it out!

I needed some procrastination sewing last week, so I pulled out some orphaned quilt blocks. I used this partially finished block from 2010, added another round and turned it into a snack mat for my sewing room. I have a terrible habit of eating on my cutting mat, so hopefully this will help keep spills contained!
It was time to retire my very fancy notecard/safety pin row markers with something a bit more durable! After seeing a photo Tammy posted on Instagram of hers, I knew I had to make some too. She uses plastic embroidery floss bobbins! Isn't that so clever? I jazzed mine up with washi tape! I'm excited to use them!
Some happy mail arrived this weekend, how delicious is this fat quarter stack from Form and Fabric? Margaret kindly sent along a pair of sweet goodie bags, and one is for you! Will give it away later this week!
How could I resist!? It's been a bit weird lately, thinking back to what I was doing this time last year. It was a turbulent time to say the least! We're quickly approaching a year here in Wisconsin, and I'm finally starting to feel truly settled. I took photos of the entire apartment on Friday, thought it might be fun to share what a year later looks like!
Hope everyone had a happy 4th! We kept things pretty low-key because of the heat, but I did managed to bake some cookies. Yes, I'm the crazy lady turning on the oven when it's over 100 degrees out. Oh well, it was worth it!
