HST Block of the Month: April

Half-Square Triangle Block of the Month April Quilt Block Tutorial - In Color Order
Welcome to the Half-Square Triangle Block of the Month! For each month in 2012, I'll present a quick tutorial for a traditional quilt block using half-square triangles (HST)! It's going to be a lot of fun, feel free to join in at any time! For past posts see here.

Happy April! Today I'm sharing with you the fourth block of our block of the month series! This block is made up of pinwheels! Let's dive right in!

For my block I used prints from Modern Meadow by Joel Dewberry, Ruby by Bonnie & Camille, Oval Elements by Pat Bravo, and Outfoxed by Lizzy House.

  9. I thought this one was the easiest of the four we've done. I think I will start looking for some sashing fabric now that I have four blocks and start sewing them together. Then I won't have so much to do when I make the last block. Do you think that's a good idea?

  10. Just found this! I'll be using 30s, I think. I may use Thangles or Laundry Basket if all HST will finish at 3 1/2" (will they?)so I don't have to 'square-up'. Otherwise, might try your bias version.
