It feels like it's been a while since the last regular post! My parents visited for the weekend and I'm having trouble getting back into my routine! :)
I've been working on a few small projects the last few days, this being the first. It's a ribbon star. 12.5" square, made from Meadowsweet and Kona cotton. Machine quilted and bound.
The second is this little mini, Air Mail. A traditional postage stamp. 14.5" square, made from various neutrals and Kona white. Machine quilted and bound! I'll be able to share a little more about these projects in the next few weeks!
The mailman delivered these lovely prints today, just in time for Fall.
First pumpkin of the season! :)
The move is finally complete. I tried cheese curds this weekend! They were so yummy! Like fluffy cheese!

I love that picture of George on those pretty plaids :) Your ribbon star is great - peony plais in limeaide is one of my favorite fabrics, and I love how it works as your binding. thanks for some great inspiration on how to use the yard that I've been hoarding :)

Your ribbon quilt looks beautiful! Those colors are gorgeous. And I just finished doing my vintage star quilt in chevrons, so I love the quilting on it!

ReplyDeletemmmmm...where did you get the cheese curds from? Michael's Frozen Custard has awesome custard and awesome cheese curds if you want to go for a dairy overload. the one on Whitney Way by the mini golf place is where i get the curds. i don't know if all of the locations have them.
ReplyDeletedid i miss the inspiration behind the mini quilts? i can't recall why you are making them, but i sure do love them. i've always admired your use of color, but the neutrals you used in Air Mail really pop without much color at all. you rock at finding that fabrics that contrast just right.
