We're slowly getting things put away and it's starting to look a little more normal around here. It still needs work, and there are still boxes in almost every room, but we had decent light today, so I thought I'd take a few photos and show you guys around! :)
Starting in the most important room, the sewing room of course! This is where I'll be sewing! I've been hanging lots of stuff on the walls and getting things a little more organized. Still need to make some curtains! Probably from vintage sheets :)
Love having my quilts hanging up instead of folded up in the closet. And, am now using two shelves for my vintage sheets! The sad thing is, there is another crate full of my personal stash of sheets!
Finally organized all the vintage housewares last night! I put all my enamelware (Cathrineholm + Dansk Kobenstyle) all together in a giant rainbow! It *almost* fit on one shelf, had to stick three pieces on the smaller one along with some of my favorite Pyrex. I love seeing this in my sewing room!
One shelf was not nearly enough room for all the sheets, so I'm using two now! And it's still not enough room, craziness! :)
Little nook on my side of the bed! Some of my vintage tin collection and my favorite water bottle!
The cuteness shelf! All things Hello Kitty! And the Unazukin are unpacked too :)
I have two less shelves for Pyrex here than I did in my last place, so it's kind of all over the place. This is in the main living room, some of my favorites!
My sweet yellow vintage teapot and some other vintage goodies in the kitchen :)
And last, but most certainly not least, George bunny! Thank you to everyone who has asked about him, he is doing great! I'm still adjusting to the light in this apartment, it's a lot darker than the last place, so it's been hard to photograph him. Don't worry though, I'll find a way! Speaking of George, 2 years ago today we brought him home from the fair, yay!
And there you go! I'll take some more photos as we continue to get settled, but I'm happy with how it's coming together so far. I LOVE having my own sewing room, I am one lucky girl :)
You've definitely got the touch of organizing and arranging things in the most perfect way! Love your sewing room, and yes I think quilts look fabulous on the wall (or anywhere else) rather than folded in a closet.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tour; it looks like home.
Gorgeous photos, and equally gorgeous goodies! You have some wonderfully happy collections!

ReplyDeleteyay! it's looking great! while on the subject of your massive sheet collection... if you happen to have a biggish predominately orangish vintage sheet you could part with, perhaps we could make a deal! i need one for the backing on my kaleidoscope quilt and none of the local thrift stores have had anything good for a while. happy housewarming :D
ReplyDeleteI like your wall pocket organizer--I need to make one myself. All those yummy sheets, I would really never leave your sewing room!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that Hello Kitty water bottle---so darn cute--bet the hubs would pick on me for that one though;)
Glad you are getting settled more and more Jeni:)
You are quite the collector! Thanks for the tour of your awesome space :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to have found your blog. Soooo neat and tidy. Love the vintage. I seem to have collected a few vintage woolen blankets in my journey...they have quietly mounted up. Funny how that happens. Thanks from Salsy.

Your new place looks great & homey! fun times.
ReplyDeleteSo much goodness in one post! I love your new space. It's so great that you have a whole room for sewing now and get to hang up everything. I love that you are keeping the enamelware in the sewing room, too. It's so pretty to look at. I had no idea you had such a great collection of Hello Kitty! I am for sure going to have to scout out that section again at the Asian market before Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteAll of your displays look gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteEverything looks so beautiful! I love how much space you have in your sewing room! Lack of space is driving me nuts! Love love love the pretty quilts on the wall!

I'm pretty sure your new place is more put together than my four year old residence... Hmm. I need to step up my game! Hi, George! Hi, pretty yellow teapot!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of that Pyrex collection! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your move! Your sewing space looks wonderful! If you haven't already try 'daylight lightbulbs' usually found at home depot or lowes for brighter light in your home. It's a cleaner/whiter light. I use them and it's like someone opened the blinds when you turn on a light =)
ReplyDeleteYour apartment is so cute! I love your sewing room and your Pyrex and Catherineholm collections :) I need to Pin some of these pictures for inspiration!!
