This week we kicked off the Warm Cool Quilt Along, and I wanted to post my fabric selection for the quilt I'll be making! Don't forget to add your fabrics and progress to the flickr group! :)
We're mostly living out of boxes (all the furniture moving with us is currently in a storage unit!), but there are a still a few happy spaces left among the clutter!
Working on a little present!
Making progress on my states embroidery! You can find the template here.
Had lots of luck thrifting this weekend! Lots of new sheets in the shop!

Today I love the..
Smell of: Fresh laundry
Sound of: Tangled!
Taste of: String cheese
Sight of: George
Feel of: Cool night air
Good Things about Today:

- Worked out for the first time in ages!
Your fabrics for the qa are great! Seems like you are being pretty productive living out of boxes!
ReplyDeleteWe are not allowed to keep rabbits as pets in my state...are they able to be tamed...or always skittish like guinea pigs...George is just darling and looks very tame!
ReplyDeleteLove all your fabrics..both for the QA and in your happy place!
Your embroidery is coming along really nicely, I love the varied greens you're using. I'm going to use the technique you suggested in your email to start a new piece of embroidery this weekend- I went out and bought one of those embroidery transfer pens. Thanks again for the advice! :)
ReplyDeleteI always love the sound of Tangled! :) I think I might join the quilt along but I have to see how fast I can finish another quilt first. We'll see. I also LOVE your states embroidery.
ReplyDeleteYour new header is absolutely divine..all that golden yellow is so beautiful for summer!
ReplyDeleteEven if I didn't learn a lot or enjoy seeing all the beautiful fabrics you work with, I would visit just to see cute and adorable George, who looks so comfy snoozing in his new basket!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your fabric choices for your quilt! I want to join but have too much going on, I will be watching your mad skills turn that pile into an amazing piece of art though!!! And I always love seeing George's cute little face. :)
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could join the quilt along, but my to-do list has me completely covered. I do plan to follow along, and I hope to make one after the dust settles. Your fabric choices are lovely, and that George picture is one of my favorites!
ReplyDelete144 squares cut and stacked and ready for the next step! George is adorable, if only I was allowed a pet in my tiny apartment...
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I have to get a basket for my bunny!
ReplyDeleteluv the fabric choices!! you've been making great progress, and as usual your thrifty-ness is unreal. i need to get our more ;)
