There has been a bit of sewing going on around here, but it's for a swap, so I can't share any photos quite yet! I've been having so much fun sewing for it, it's a Harry Potter craft swap with one of my very favorite sewing buddies Amanda! We're total HP geeks! :)
She sent me this awesome Simplicity duffel bag pattern today! We are going to make them to take with us to Sewing Summit! We're both using Far Far Away II! :)
I was SO happy to be able to pick up some more Sherbet Pips on sale to make matching pillowcases for my quilt! I got mine from Julie of The Intrepid Thread! She still has some on clearance, 50% off! :)
Made a few wreaths for gifts using my Wrapped Wreath Tutorial and a wreath kit! I cut the strips in half and used a 14" wreath form! Keep your eyes out, I shall be giving away one of the kits soon!
I snatched up this Dansk Kobenstyle Pan on etsy a few weeks ago, and it arrived this week! In my defense, the only one I've ever seen was red and was $85! Compared to that, mine was a crazy steal! I LOVE IT! The handle is what did me in! :)
George just loves to be in his basket!
Today I love the..
Smell of: New conditioner
Sound of: Arrested Development
Taste of: Brewer's pretzels from Cornerstone
Sight of: Michael!
Feel of: Soft futon
Good Things about Today:
- Got to see Michael for the first time in 2 weeks!
- Filled lots of shop orders!
- Skype chat with two of my favorite sewing buddies!
- George gave me a bunny kiss today :)

ReplyDelete*gasp* i love that duffel pattern!!! might have to make two or five for no other reason than i LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI'd love if you would post tips when you make your duffel bag because I just bought a Simplicity duffel bag pattern too. I've never sewn using a pattern like this before, so I could use all the help I can get!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice shape and size of bag!
ReplyDeleteCute cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE Arrested Development. :D
I love the pattern and that pan! I read through your entire Pyrex Series last night : ) After stumbling upon several pieces for a great price the other day, I think I started collecting this past weekend without even realizing it and now I find myself a bit obsessed! Is this normal? : )
ReplyDeleteWell anyways, I am Maureen and I thank you for organizing everything I need to know about Pyrex so nicely! It was extremely helpful!
was that pan new? It is amazingly bright and shiny!
ReplyDeleteAll your projects look great, too.
Oo, love the idea of a FFA 2 duffel!! Can't wait to see how it looks :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a relatively new follower of your blog and wanted to chime in. The duffel is great! I've been looking for a good weekend type bag to make.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing though is seeing the pictures of George (squee!) and your Good things for today... at the end of the posts. Always perks me up!
My granddaughters had to watch the slide show of George (on his blog) twice this morning... they are so fascinated with him!
