This week's luck continued today when I found this vintage yellow Dansk Kobenstyle Pitcher to add to my collection! I cannot wait to be able to unpack all of my collection and see it together. I picked this one up at an antique mall so it wasn't very thrifty, but compared to etsy/ebay prices it sure was! :)

  5. I had to chuckle a bit about that one sheet that is the back drop for your yellow pitcher. My grandparents summer cottage had that same print as that sheet but is was the in wallpaper in the kitchen. BTW love Geogrge he is such a cute ND bunny!

I am still washing, drying, pressing, and stashing my vintage sheet finds while I shop for my very first sewing machine...wish we lived closer because I have it on good authority that you're a great sewing teacher! Happy thrifting!!!

  10. Love your Kool-aid dyed yarns... gorgeous colors! Congrats on learning to crochet... I have such fun with it.

Like Jennifer O., I recognized the sheet used as the backdrop for the yellow pitcher... I had that set, except in blue/green... took it to college with me in the fall of 1969. Not sure what happened to the sheets but I still have the pillowcases.

  11. My love of Pyrex brought me to your blog, but it's the vintage sheets that keep me coming back. I love spotting patterns from my childhood. My mom and grandmother and mother-in-law have had many of the patterns I've seen here.

  15. Your Kool-Aid yarn looks awesome, and look! You're crocheting! I so want to learn, and I'm committed to doing so before the end of July. Yay, Jeni! Okay, now I'm off to see this video of George eating a banana. Also, your interview was cute on the Sewing Summit blog!

  16. Lovely stack of vintage sheets! I love your collection of vintage kitchenware, so pretty and inspiring!

Oh boy! Crochet! My twin sister does crochet, but I just really lack the patience for it. It's a gift for those who can do it, I didn't understand it when I was being taught, lol. I love hand sewing though!

George bunny! I laughed when you mentioned in your interview that he nibbles on quilts and their bindings! Bad!

    Lovely blog!

  20. I love reading your blog and seeing the vintage sheets you find. I actually had 2 of the ones in your pile growing up! The yellow green stripe, and the 5th design up from the bottom showing the yellow and pink flowers. I loved these sheets. I remember them feeling so soft and cool. Thanks for the memories. I'm a child of the 70's. What can I say?!
