It's here!, originally uploaded by jenib320.
I have been trying to be better about my fabric shopping, but I allowed myself to buy one new collection in full as a graduation gift to myself. To my own surprise I ended up going with Prince Charming. This is the first time I've been completely under the Tula Pink spell! Every time I saw photos of this line I fell in love a little more. I think it's the colors! They are so gorgeous together and really saturated! I cannot wait to play with these lovelies! :)

Today's Stitching, originally uploaded by jenib320.
I was pretty intimidated when I found out the June block for our circle in the do. Good Stitches Bee was spiderwebs. I had never done one before! I wanted to power through and get these out of the way. I'm still not sure how I feel about them. They weren't bad, but were a bit too fussy for my taste. It was all the measuring and marking! Someone should make preprinted squares/triangles for these blocks!! Either way, at least they turned out cute!

Finished Tote, originally uploaded by jenib320.
Finished up another Jane Market Tote. This one is for a family friend! I used this fun lime/pink vintage fabric I had in my stash and a little green shot cotton.

Trying to clear out some more fabrics, mostly vintage quilting cottons. Some of them I simply have too much yardage of! If you're interested check out my destash shop here! :)

Lotus Bowl Collection, originally uploaded by jenib320.
On Monday, I sold a little under half my Pyrex collection on craigslist. Mostly pieces I wasn't attached to anymore, or patterns I had grown lukewarm about. It was really liberating to unload some of it. This should help make the move a little lighter! So, yesterday's goal was to go through my Lotus bowl collection. I did not realize I had so many!

George, originally uploaded by jenib320.
George!! He finally flopped over in his basket. I could barely contain myself, he looks so freaking cute in it!

Keep your eyes peeled, I'm planning a fun sale in the shop for the long holiday weekend, starting tomorrow! :)

Today I love the..

  1. George looks adorable. I'm amazed at his restraint in not chewing the basket to death! It would be in pieces if my two girls got anywhere near it! ;)

  2. love your jane market tote! the colors and fabrics are beautiful. are you using the pattern from alicia paulson via posie gets cozy? i've always wanted to make one (or several) of these for grocery shopping. but i think i may feel a bit odd carring around such a bag. perhaps i could make it a bit more masculine?

  5. I just bought some of that new line myself! It's for a quilt with a lot of saturated color and different patterns. I am so excited to start if only I wasn't horribly sick grrrrr soon though I'll be better.

  10. Oh, you so totally deserved that collection as a grad gift! I'm glad you feel good about selling some of your collection. As fun as it is to collect, it can feel awesome to move on when the time is right! (and cash is good).
