I was so lucky to spend the weekend sewing, chatting, and shopping with Angela and Jessica! We had a lot of fun and we even got some sewing done! It made me even more excited for Sewing Summit!
I was able to get my flannels plus quilt top pieced this weekend! I am completely smitten with it, can't wait for it to be done! I washed the backing flannels this morning and I think I've been convinced to quilt it with diagonal lines. I was going to to shadow quilting but honestly, diagonal lines will be half the quilting. Since this is a pretty big quilt (biggest I've done at 72"x92"), I want to do quicker quilting! :)
Picked up the Single Girl quilt again this weekend! Angela and Jessica both worked on theirs and it got me excited about mine again. I am dreading the curves though!
We managed to hit up some quilt shops yesterday and we all found some yummy fabrics! I was excited to find a text print I liked as well as some lime shot cotton.
Found a few great sheets thrifting on Saturday too! I was SO excited to find that blue sheet again! I have multiples of the pink and yellow colors but only had one of the blue!
We were able to hop on Skype for a while last night! It was a blast! Amanda, Christina, Jessica, Angela and I! :)
A snow storm hit Thursday night and Friday morning and we weren't sure if we'd still be able to have our get together. Luckily it calmed down by the afternoon and we made it work! It was so gorgeous in the park!
George!
Hopefully this week's blogging will be a little more normal! Hope you all had an awesome weekend!
