I was able to get my thesis quilt top pieced this weekend! Yay! I had been playing around with this layout and decided to just go for it. SO glad I did! (Thanks for your encouragement Amanda and Christina!) All fabrics were hand dyed/batiked by me this past winter using Malka Dubrawsky's Color Your Cloth. It was such a fun process, I can't wait to find time to do it again!
Had major luck thrifting this morning! 12 sheets and 6 pillowcases! Most are being added to the shop!
Ashley pinned this awesome Peanut Butter Banana Bread on pinterest, and I had to immediately try it out! It is AMAZING! New favorite recipe!
My bike is HERE! We picked it up today and I assembled it (all by myself!) this afternoon. I love, love, love it! Can't wait until it's warm enough to ride it! PS - It's from Walmart! Only $90!
I couldn't resist taking a few photos of George in the bike basket! :)
Thank you all for your wonderful support, I really appreciate it. Your sweet comments make my day!
Today I love the..
Smell of: Breakfast out!
Sound of: 3rd Rock
Taste of: Pancakes
Sight of: George in the basket!
Feel of: Favorite fleece blanket
Good Things about Today:
- Had a great morning thrifting and eating with my Mom!
- THE BIKE IS HERE!!
- Pizza night with Michael!
- My pillow for Blogger's Pillow Party won! :)

I just read through your entire Art of Choosing series and really loved it. I am a very new quilter and so all of this advice is so helpful. I was wondering though, when you buy fabric for your stash, how much do you usually get? A fat quarter, 1/2 yard, yard? Also, while reading I noticed you mentioned Malka Dubrawsky. I am taking my first ever quilting class with her starting Monday! I am super excited to learn quilting from start to finish, especially the basting, quilting and binding parts.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute! I'm loving George. He's a Netherland Dwarf Sable right?
ReplyDeleteaaaaw, what a cute bike! and George!!!!! ack, he's so adorable! :) Hope you can ride the bike soon and enjoy the spring weather (whithout the snow, you know!) ~Jessica
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I'm getting that bike for my birthday. Did you add the basket on or did it come with the bike? :) Just curious!
ReplyDeleteLove the color of your new bike and I love that there are no fancy-schmancy hand brakes or gears to mess with. Just push the pedals backwards to brake, right? When I saw the photo I started humming the bike riding music from The Wizard of Oz in my head. I am making my way through your blog, bookmarking all the way. Hope I live long enough to make all the bookmarked projects. N
