  10. Gorgeous! At the moment I am working on a yoyo/suffolk puff quilt (very slowly!), and some little bags and soft toys to give to my nieces and nephews at christmas time. I'm also about to start knitting a vest for my son, but my last knitting project kinda bombed so I'm not holding my breath about finishing this one!

  21. Hi,I'm from Brazil and I have you on my favorites list. I take a look at your blog almost every day, especially because you are a crafter and you speak English :), things that I love. I paint on fabric and I'm working with patchwork appliquées now. I made a lipstick case by hand (because I don't have a machine) yesterday and it turned great!! I'll keep trying fabric projects.

Right now I'm working on the Little Woo top (Patterns by Figgy) for my daughter. I was actually using knit fabric from a knit sheet, but grrrrr, last night I cut the fabric wrong, so now the project is on hold until I get can more knit fabric! *sigh*

I can't wait to take a look around this blog! :) Pyrex! Oooh! I have a couple that I've collected, but I'm trying to resist great urge to start a collecting them! I have to force myself to leave them on the shelf at the thrift stores. Especially pink ones! gaaaah!

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! :)

  32. Great giveaway!
I've been busy busy busy getting ready for my first ever trunk show! I don't normally carry inventory, so I've been sewing my little fingers off for months! No fun quilting for me until the season is over :(

  33. I've been putting up apples from the neighbors' trees for winter pies. Making a log cabin quilt from scraps of any print with animals or animals' skins for my little girl who is enthralled with the idea of growing up to be a zookeeper. And, the thriftstore had a UFO of feedsack flowers appliqued by hand on 5" muslin squares that needed me to finish it. I feel so priviledged to finish these and add a few of my own...like I made some history! LOL!

OH...my little zookeeper wants a bunny too!

  34. You find the coolest vintage sheets! The ones I seem to run across are usually pretty ratty looking.

I haven't been sewing much lately because of a home improvement project going on, but last night I made baked apples. Then the doorbell rang unexpectedly and I had company to help me eat them--even better! Yum!

  39. You've turned me on to vintage sheets. I've had a Lone Star quilt center (the star) I did a hundred years ago that I haven't finished and a couple of weeks ago I found the nicest vintage sheet that will so make the field so I can put it on the guest bed. Keep up the inspiration.

  40. I'd love to win! I had the pink ones of these when I was a kid (they were old then, this was the eighties) and I may have also had the blue, but my mother can't find them now, which is saying something considering she never gets rid of anything! I'm working on Denyse Schmidt's Big Zig quilt--the hand quilting is taking forever!

  41. Aw, how lovely! I read your blog everyday...but I usually have a nursing baby in my arms which makes it hard to comment...so I usually only read. I've used your pyrex cleaning tips, as I am also an addict. I'm currently making cloth baby wipes when I have the time to sew. I hope to make some napkins & place-mats in the near future...along with a quilt. Figuring out when to sew with a new little one around is a challenge. I've been cooking a lot of casseroles lately, my favorite being Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole. :) Thanks for all you do! Definitely one of my favorite blogs. (& flickr accounts!)

Question: Do you wash your sheets in anything special to make them stiffer, or to get the old lady smell out of them? Id appreciate any tips you might have!
