This Weekend

It has been a weekend filled with vintage sheets! I have been working on my Sparkling Cider vintage sheet quilt and I finally finished the top this morning! Lucky for me it's 75 degrees and sunny today, so we managed to get a few good photos. It was really windy though. It always seems to be windy when there are quilt tops to be photographed! I am really happy with how it's coming along. I didn't quite do the sashing right, but I made it work. I just had to adjust the layout a little. It's looking so cheerful! It will be perfect for the coming gray ohio winter!
Yesterday I went to some thrift shops a couple towns over and really hit the jackpot! Managed to come home with 8 sheets and 6 pillowcases! I couldn't believe it! A few are being shared in my shop :)
I am really in love with Dream On by Urban Chiks but I just cannot rationalize buying yardage/a FQ bundle. I have so many real vintage sheets, it just seems silly to buy this line. So instead, I have two more charm packs on the way and they'll get together with this Corn Yellow Kona for a yummy quilt! I'm thinking something with half-square triangles. Not totally sure yet!
George has been as sweet as ever :)
Today I love the..
Smell of: Fresh air
Sound of: Sewing machine
Taste of: Diet Coke
Sight of: Finished top!
Feel of: Fall wind in my hair
Good Things about Today:
- Finished my quilt top!
- Slowly updating the look of the blog!
- My hair was dried by the wind while I took photos!
- George, George, George :)
