I am giving away a Vintage Sheet Starter Set! It includes 5 different fat quarters of vintage sheets and a healthy bundle of sheet scraps! There are a lot of great things you could whip up with these sheets! There are some great things being made here, here, and here over on flickr!

The giveaway will take place from now until 11:59pm EST Thursday, May 20th. All you have to do to enter is leave one comment on this post! If you'd like, let me know what you'd do with the vintage sheets or just what you're working on! Winner will be chosen at random! :)

  17. I love vintage. I havent had the pleasure of working with any yet. I have been planning one of those whirrly quilts. Im not so sure of what they are called exactly but I know how they look! Anyway Im in love with your vintage zigzag. I'm working on a zigzag right now!

  18. I want to make 2 things with vintage sheet scraps: 1) a picnic quilt top and 2)i am making a banner for my daughters room out of cream canvas and embroidering on each pennant. I want to make yoyo type flowers to go along the top and use some scraps to applique dresses etc on the embroidered scenes

    I have 4 friends all having babies in the next 3 months so I am busy at work making special goodies including baby slings, booties, hats and blankets. So much work to do, so little time!

    To be completely honest, if I were lucky enough to win those lovely vintage sheet scraps, the first thing I'd most likely do with them is just look at them adoringly and sigh with happiness! ...Then I'd think of what to actually make with them. :)
    And in case you're interested, I'm currently working on getting my workroom organized. The whole place looks like a fabric bomb went off in there and I have to move mountains of stuff and things around just to get sight of a table!

  47. Yes Please! These look fantastic. I would hate to cut them up. I would probably end up making some sort of quilt with large block-y chunks or a set of light quilted curtains for the window on my kitchen door. Even as I type it I can see them clearly and would love to have them for real!

    These fabrics are so pretty! For my next project, I'd really like to make a nice sundress or summer shirt, so I'd probably incorporate them into that somehow.

  186. Right now I'm working on a slipcover for a chair for my toddler that I found at Salvation Army (6 bucks!!). With these, I would probably fold and unfold them a lot until I knew *exactly* what to do with them. Most likely something else for the kiddo. :)
