Vintage Sheet Quilt, originally uploaded by jenib320.
Finished up my vintage sheet quilt today! I love the way it turned out! It was a great opportunity to pull together some of my favorite sheets. For this one I used a rainbow of sheets but I'd love to make another using sheets of the same color or type. The pattern is Sparkling Cider by All Washed Up. I made the lap size which is 64"x80". The entire quilt is made of only vintage sheets!

I highly recommend this pattern. It's easy and comes together pretty quickly! I used the recommended quilt in a day template for the stars and the points came out really great! I'll definitely be making more!

Vintage Sheet Quilt - Backing, originally uploaded by jenib320.
For the backing I used one of my favorite sheets that I had been saving. It was so nice not to have to piece anything for the back for once!

I free motion quilted large loops in various sizes. This is my favorite kind of quilting and honestly the only free motion I'm any good at!

Vintage Sheet Quilt - Binding, originally uploaded by jenib320.
For the binding I cut strips off fat quarters for a scrappy look using mostly prints from the quilt.

It must have turned out okay because it didn't take long for Blackie to come over and claim it! :)

  25. I have just recently discovered your blog and store and so glad I did!! I love the way you use the vintage sheets and the gorgeous array of colours. So far I haven't found any sheets at thrift stores quite as lovely as yours here in Australia so order some Fq's from your shop to brighten up my stash. Have mainly used my vintage stash for cushions and bags. Am currently trying to improve my quilting skills so I am going to give the pattern you suggested a try with my stash. The way yours has turned out is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it!! Tanya :-)
